David A. Burton, M.D.

Biography

Dr. Burton is a native of New York.  After receiving his Bachelor of Science at Cornell University, he completed medical school at the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University.  Upon completion of residency in Pediatrics at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago Illinois, Dr. Burton did his fellowship in pediatric cardiology/electrophysiology at Children's Hospital National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Burton then practiced at the St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, serving as the Director of Electrophysiology, before joining the Children's Heart Clinic in 1991.

Dr. Burton is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. He is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society, the American College of Cardiology, and the Pediatric & Adult Congenital Electrophysiology Society (PACES).  He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Burton serves as a member of several committees at Children's Hospitals and Clinics. 

Dr. Burton currently lives in Minnetonka with his wife and two children.
