Our most recent precious patient, Delaram, arrived from Iran after being on the waiting list for more than a year. She is a lovely, cheerful young lady who was learning English phrases within hours of her arrival in the U.S. so she could talk with her caregivers.Delaram was born with cloacal exstrophy, and needed major reconstructive surgery. We are happy to report that she successfully came through eight hours of surgery and after recovering in the Intensive Care Unit at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital, has returned home to Iran.
Delaram with volunteers Tim Bode, Anna Connealy, Amir Eftekhari, and Jaleh Meshkati who takes Delaram and her mother to the Hospital for Delaram's tests, and also to fun places like the Mall of America...
